I had to call my friend, and she had to ask them to please allow me to pay the same amount as she and my other friends paid. They again told me it was going to be $20. I got money from the ATM, went back expecting to also pay $5 like my friends did. They messaged me back, saying the four of them only paid $5 each. I didnt have $20 in cash, so i left to go to an ATM.I told my friends about the $20 cover. The manager came out and confirmed that price. Which was weird to me, since they didnt even have a line to get in.
I went up to the bouncer and he told me there was a $20 cover. I was going to meet friends there, and was first to get there. I dont want to be presumptuous, but this place may have profiling issues of the racial variety. Something changed when I visited a few weeks ago. Even recommended it to everyone I knew who was looking for a good night out in NYC. I want to host every birthday here for the rest of my life!!Thank you Gabriel and team for such a memorable night! We will be back time and time again for a guaranteed fun night of dancing and good vibes at Rumpus.

Gabriel and his team went above and beyond to ensure we had a great night-Some highlights:- Free VIP table + bottle- Marquee sign with birthday shout out + sparklers- Balloons (including a big 25)- Custom photobooth logo- Customized drink specials named after us- Music requests to accommodate disco theme- Seamless VIP check-in process (for all 150 of our guests)- Custom drink menu with specials named after us- VIP cut the line bathroom cards- Professional pictures sent real time / full album follow up.the list goes on! A member of his team was around and attentive all night long to ensure there were 0 issues. From the initial inquiry all the way through the next day follow up with a iCloud sharing album of professional pictures he took, everything about hosting my birthday party at Rumpus was 100% perfect. he deserves 10 stars!!I can not say enough good things about our experience hosting a joint 25th birthday party here. There is 5 star customer service, and then there is Gabriel (owner) Rumpus Room.
